The Cathedral was built on the ruins of a small medieval church in the 15th century. The construction is built in the form of a Latin cross and has three naves. There are six minor altars in the two side aisles. The nave is held up by six monolithic columns, three on each side, They are made of pink Taormina marble and their capitals have a foil and fish-scale decoration. The ceiling of the nave has wooden beams supported by carved corbels reproducing Arabian scenes with Gothic style.

The church of this little fishermen’s village was rebuilt in 1929 in its previous Roman-Gothic style restoring the damage of the earthquake in 1908. There are three naves , On the right side there is a painting representing “La Pietà”  by un unknown artist from the 18th century. It has been restored recently.

Also known as the church of Santa Lucia it has three naves and dates from the 14th century. It vaguely look like a fortress dominating the entire valley. There are magnificent, baroque stile altars in multi-coloured marbles. Along the central nave there are wooden paintings representing biblical scenes. On the main altar some paintings represent Santa Lucia and her “martyrdom”.  Stations of the Holy Cross made of terracotta are of interest, too.
