FOOD AND WINE TOUR OF SICILY

 

 

Programm based on 8 days / 7 nights 

1° Day:      TAORMINA

Arrival at Catania airport and transfert to the hotel in the neighbourhood of Taormina. Dinner and overnight.

2° Day:      ETNA – TAORMINA

After breakfast we leave for Mount Etna till 2000 meters. After visiting the volcano we descend to the village of Zafferana for lunch during which you can taste the different wines produced on the slopes of the Etna. Dinner and overnight.

3° Day:      SIRACUSA – AVOLA – NOTO

Departure for Siracusa where we visit the island of Ortigia and the archeological sites. Lunch in the village of Avola known for his famous wine “ Nero D’Avola”. After lunch we proceed to the baroc city of Noto for a short visit. Dinner and overnight in Noto.

4° Day:      PIAZZA ARMERINA – AGRIGENTO

Departure for Piazza Armerina and visit of the world famous Roman Villa del Casale. This time our lunch will be in a typical farmhouse. In the afternoon we proceed for Agrigento to visit the temple valley. Dinner and overnight in Agrigento.

5° Day:      SELINUNTE – MARSALA

Today we leave for the west coast. On the way to Marsala we visit Selinunte. Brunch in one of the famous wine cellars of Marsala. Dinner and overnight in Marsala.

6° Day:      ERICE – SEGESTA – ALCAMO – PALERMO

Today we will reach Palermo. On the way we visit Erice (medieval villagge) and Segesta. For lunch time we have reached another winecellar in Alcamo. (Bianco D’Alcamo: famous white wine). Dinner and overnight in Palermo.

7° Day:      PALERMO

In the morning we will visit the most important monuments of Palermo. Lunch free. In the afternoon we will visit a famous winecellar in Palermo. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.

8° Day:          After breakfast departure for the airport of Palermo.
